R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Larry and Sue Hendricks of Lubbock
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 13, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Larry Hendricks and the former Sue Jackson were
united in matrimony at a ceremony held in Clovis, New Mexico, in
1963; over the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that
has been made even richer with the addition of two daughters, Judy
Hendricks-Benitez and Beth Hendricks, as well as one grandchild;
and
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the
world during the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife
have remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Larry and Sue Hendricks on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hendricks as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
