 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Eugene and Dorothy
 Gerlich of Arlington celebrated this joyous milestone in their
 marriage on January 20, 2013; and
 WHEREAS, Eugene Gerlich and the former Dorothy Pechacek were
 joined in matrimony in 1953 at a ceremony held at St. Joseph
 Catholic Church in Elk; they became the parents of two daughters,
 Kay Weeks and the late Donna Culliton, and through the years they
 have watched their family grow to include two sons-in-law, Tom
 Weeks and Tim Culliton, as well as six grandchildren, Natalie
 Doland and her husband, Tony, Nick and Kim Culliton, and Katie,
 Gena, and Tommy Weeks, and three great-grandchildren, Jude, Lilly,
 and Elizabeth Doland; and
 WHEREAS, A graduate of West High School, Mr. Gerlich worked
 as a purchasing agent for General Tire and Rubber Company and
 retired after 33 years; Mrs. Gerlich graduated from Axtell High
 School near her hometown of Elk and retired from Word, Inc., after
 24 years of employment; and
 WHEREAS, Longtime residents of the Waco area, the couple
 worshipped at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead before moving
 to Arlington 12 years ago; they are members of the St. Joseph
 Catholic Community in Arlington as well as SPJST Lodge No. 66 in
 Waco; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gerlich have enjoyed six decades of
 abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
 commitment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Eugene and Dorothy Gerlich on their
 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gerlich as an expression of high regard
 by the Texas House of Representatives.
