 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, For more than a decade, members of the Greater
 Dallas Republicans have played an active role in political and
 civic affairs in their community; and
 WHEREAS, The Greater Dallas Republicans was established in
 2000, with Jim Stephens, Rosella Hutchinson, Mike Manna, Alexandra
 Fincher, and Joe Pena among its founding members; in supporting its
 mission to advance the core conservative principles of fiscal
 responsibility and personal accountability, the group serves as a
 means through which area residents can gain a greater understanding
 of the political process, learn more about current events, and
 contribute to better government by helping to elect candidates who
 share their values; and
 WHEREAS, This noteworthy organization sponsors an array of
 events that foster engaged citizenship, including opportunities to
 meet with elected officials, support military service members, and
 exchange ideas with other like-minded citizens; and
 WHEREAS, Through their grassroots political activity and
 their efforts to galvanize participation in the democratic process,
 members of the Greater Dallas Republicans are making a lasting
 difference in their community, and they may take great pride in
 their impressive record of civic involvement; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby honor the Greater Dallas Republicans for the
 group's many accomplishments and extend to its members sincere best
 wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
