 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and John and Jean Hayes of
 Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
 February 14, 2013; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes were joined in matrimony in 1953
 at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C.; through the years, they have
 been blessed with a treasured family that includes 5 children as
 well as 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Hayes is a
 20-year Navy veteran and owned multiple businesses over the years,
 and Mrs. Hayes is a dedicated homemaker; in addition to meeting
 their work and family responsibilities, they have been valued
 members of Second Baptist Church; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes have enjoyed six decades of
 abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
 commitment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate John and Jean Hayes on their 60th
 wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hayes as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
