R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kenneth and Jeannie Gaines of Cumby celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on February 23, 2013, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, The couple exchanged the vows of matrimony in Fort
Worth in 1963, and over the course of their marriage, they have
found in each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gaines count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their daughters, Donna George, Debbie
Cameron, and Paula Teague, with whom they treasure sharing many
special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Kenneth and Jeannie Gaines have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kenneth and Jeannie Gaines on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gaines as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
