H.R. No. 825
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Thomas and Virgie Boyd of Pickton celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on March 1, 2013, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Thomas W. Boyd and the former Virgie Ann Gunn
exchanged the vows of matrimony at Bethel Baptist Church in Dallas
in 1963, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in
each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd count among their blessings a fine
family that includes 4 children, William, Anthony, Angela, and
Shawn, as well as 12 grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing
many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Thomas and Virgie Boyd have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Thomas and Virgie Boyd on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Boyd as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
