R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sarah Roberts of Waco has been selected by
Development Counsellors International as one of its top "40 Under
40"; and
WHEREAS, Presented at the 2013 International Economic
Development Council Leadership Summit, this award highlights the
achievements of individuals who have excelled in the field of
economic development; and
WHEREAS, Truly deserving of the distinction, Ms. Roberts has
played an important role in bringing new industry to Central Texas
through her work as senior vice president of economic development
for the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce; a graduate of Baylor
University, she has been a valued member of the chamber's staff
since 2003; and
WHEREAS, The well-being of our communities depends on the
vision and leadership of individuals like Sarah Roberts, whose
efforts have increased opportunity for countless area Texans; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Roberts on her selection for
the "40 Under 40" list by Development Counsellors International and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Roberts as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
