H.R. No. 835
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Bill Johnson of Robinson has been awarded the 61st
Spirit of America Medal by the Good Soldier Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson was presented the honor at the Military
Officers Association Christmas Dinner, in recognition of his
commitment to supporting Waco-area veterans, military personnel,
and their families; and
WHEREAS, The owner of Johnson Roofing, Mr. Johnson has
sponsored a number of events to pay tribute to current and former
service members and their loved ones; in September 2012, he helped
to host the Welcome Home Veterans Celebration, where some 15,000
participants enjoyed food, entertainment, and the good wishes of
friends and neighbors; and
WHEREAS, Bill Johnson is carrying out a noble mission by
recognizing those who have sacrificed for our nation, and in so
doing, he is ensuring that these brave men and women receive the
appreciation they so richly deserve; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Bill Johnson on his receipt of the
Spirit of America Medal from the Good Soldier Foundation and extend
to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Johnson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
