R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sue Lowry has been named the 2012-2013 Lion of the
Year by the Waco Founder Lions Club; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the club in the late 1990s, Ms. Lowry
has chaired numerous committees, served on the board of directors,
and distinguished herself as the group's "tail twister"; moreover,
she has been recognized by Lions Clubs International for her
recruitment efforts; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lowry is retired after working for more than 30
years as a physical education teacher at Waco High School; and
WHEREAS, Through her active participation and leadership in
the Lions Club, Sue Lowry has significantly contributed to the
vitality of her community, and her selection for this honor is an
indication of the high regard in which she is held by her fellow
members; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Sue Lowry on being named the
2012-2013 Lion of the Year by the Waco Founder Lions Club and extend
to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Lowry as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
