H.R. No. 837
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kevin Morris and Allie North have distinguished
themselves with their outstanding showing in the Waco Baptist
Academy spelling bee; and
WHEREAS, This contest was the first event of its kind held at
the academy, and it featured a group of talented young competitors;
and
WHEREAS, With their superb skills, Kevin and Allie emerged as
the top two performers, with Kevin winning the contest and Allie
finishing as first runner-up; both students now advance to compete
in the county-level spelling bee; and
WHEREAS, Kevin Morris and Allie North have proven themselves
to be young Texans of great ability and dedication, and they may
indeed reflect with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kevin Morris and Allie North on
their success in the Waco Baptist Academy spelling bee and extend to
them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
for the students as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
of Representatives.
