 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Solomon Hagger, Jr., of Houston is retiring from the
 Southmore Station Post Office in 2013, drawing to a close a notable
 career with the United States Postal Service that has spanned three
 and a half decades; and
 WHEREAS, A Houston native, Mr. Hagger grew up on Sudan Street
 in the Fifth Ward, attended Atherton Elementary and Northwood
 Middle Schools, and graduated from Forest Brook High School; he
 began his career with the postal service on November 29, 1976, as a
 Zone 45 clerk at the General Post Office; after a decade in that
 location, he moved to Southmore Station, where he has served with
 the utmost distinction for the past 25 years as a retail sales and
 service associate; and
 WHEREAS, Well known to the post office regulars, Mr. Hagger
 is admired and appreciated for his helpfulness and positive
 attitude, and he was recently recognized by the Rotary Club of
 Hermann Park for his many years of outstanding service to his
 customers; and
 WHEREAS, Solomon Hagger has set an inspiring example of
 dedication and professionalism over the course of his tenure with
 the postal service, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his many
 achievements as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Solomon Hagger, Jr., on his
 retirement from the U.S. Postal Service and extend to him sincere
 best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Hagger as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
