 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Dale Jaecks retired from the Milam County
 Commissioners Court on December 31, 2012, drawing to a close a
 distinguished tenure in public service that spanned four decades;
 and
 WHEREAS, First elected to Milam County Commissioners Court
 Precinct 3 in 1988, Commissioner Jaecks worked to modernize and
 improve roadways and bridges throughout Precinct 3; during his
 tenure, he oversaw the replacement of all the wooden bridges in
 Precinct 3, and his leadership was integral in the restoration of
 Sugarloaf Bridge in Milam County; and
 WHEREAS, His tireless commitment to public service led Mr.
 Jaecks to serve on the board of the Central Texas Council of
 Governments for over 22 years and as chairman for 3 years; he also
 served as president of the Texas Association of Regional Councils,
 vice president of the Hill Country Community Action Association,
 and Milam County judge pro tem; and
 WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan earned the Wilbur R. Dunk
 Regional Leadership Award for his extraordinary dedication to the
 purposes and possibilities of regional cooperation through
 councils of governments in Texas; and
 WHEREAS, Commissioner Jaecks has demonstrated an outstanding
 record of public service and civic engagement, and in so doing, he
 has helped to make Milam County an even better place in which to
 live and work; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Commissioner Dale Jaecks on his
 retirement from the Milam County Commissioners Court and extend to
 him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Commissioner Jaecks as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
