 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Richardson High School has earned national
 recognition for establishing a learning community that stimulates
 intellectual engagement and academic achievement; and
 WHEREAS, The recipient of a number of prestigious honors,
 Richardson High has been named a Newsweek Top U.S. High School,
 Washington Post Top 5 Percent U.S. High School, U.S. News & World
 Report Outstanding American High School, and Best Practice School
 by the National Center for Educational Achievement; and
 WHEREAS, Richardson High has also been honored with the ACT
 College Readiness Award, while on the state level, this notable
 institution has earned the titles of Texas Education Agency
 Exemplary School, Texas Business and Education Coalition Honor Roll
 School, and Texas Public Policy Foundation Best Practices High
 School; its students have excelled in competition, bringing home
 the titles of National Robotics Champions, State Mock Trial
 Champions, and Academic Decathlon State Champions; and
 WHEREAS, These significant accomplishments are a testament
 to the rigorous scholastic standards and exceptional opportunities
 that characterize Richardson High School, and they are a source of
 justifiable pride to principal Charles Pickitt and all those
 associated with the school; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby honor the administration and faculty of
 Richardson High School for their commitment to excellence in
 education and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
 success with their important work; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
