H.R. No. 926
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Those Texans who give freely of their time and
talents to benefit the larger community make the world a better
place through their actions and their example, and Rosie Knapek of
Axtell is one such person; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Knapek has shared her 50 years of experience in
the farming industry with the students of the local school
district; in addition to working with the FFA and the McLennan
Junior Livestock Show, she has been a sponsor of the Texas Junior
Livestock Association; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Knapek has further encouraged educational
advancement and opportunity through her support of a number of
scholarship initiatives; and
WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most valuable
resource, and by volunteering her time and talents to the youth of
Axtell ISD, Ms. Knapek has made a notable and commendable
investment in the future of her community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Rosie Knapek for her work in behalf of the
students of Axtell ISD and extend to her sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Knapek as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
