R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Daun Cox has been chosen as the February 2013
Teacher of the Month at Lorena Middle School; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding educator teaches seventh-grade
science and also serves as chair of the science department; she has
been on the faculty at Lorena Middle School for a dozen years; and
WHEREAS, Obviously passionate about her subject, Ms. Cox
goes above and beyond to make learning fun and to bring science to
life, and her enthusiasm inspires both her students and colleagues;
and
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the
walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and
Ms. Cox is helping to instill in her students a lifelong love of
learning that will serve them well for years to come; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Daun Cox on her selection as the
February 2013 Teacher of the Month at Lorena Middle School and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Cox as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
