 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Eric Wallace of the Bryan Fire Department
 passed away in the line of duty on February 16, 2013, at the age of
 36, bringing a great loss to the community and to his family, fellow
 firefighters, and many friends; and
 WHEREAS, Born on June 24, 1976, in Washington, D.C., Eric
 Wallace was the son of Frank Glenn and Sheridan Lynne Loree Wallace;
 he loved his work as a firefighter and paramedic in Bryan and served
 with the department for 13 years; he was honored by the 100 Club in
 2010 for his bravery in battling a blaze the previous year; and
 WHEREAS, Lieutenant Wallace belonged to the International
 Association of Firefighters Local No. 1203 and was a member of the
 Marlin Lodge No. 152 A.F. & A.M., the Marlin Men's Civic
 Association, and the First Baptist Church; he was an avid hunter as
 well; and
 WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Lieutenant Wallace enjoyed
 the love and support of his wife, Brandie Wallace, and he was the
 devoted father of five children, Matthew, R. C., Barrett, Paige,
 and Isabell; he coached his children's sports teams and took great
 pleasure in his role as a family man; and
 WHEREAS, Eric Wallace distinguished himself through his
 remarkable courage and his dedication to duty; although his life
 ended far too soon, he leaves behind a legacy that will be forever
 treasured by those who were privileged to know him; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lieutenant Eric
 Wallace and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
 family: to his wife, Brandie Wallace; to his sons, Matthew, R. C.,
 and Barrett; to his daughters, Paige Solis and Isabell; to his
 mother, Sheridan Major; to his brother, Steven Fullmer; to his
 sister, Tiffany Silverthorne; to his grandmothers, Virginia Loree
 and Virginia Marsh; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lieutenant
 Eric Wallace.
