R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Lake Highlands Family YMCA
has played a vital role in its North Texas community; and
WHEREAS, A branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, the
Lake Highlands Family YMCA supports the mission to "put Christian
values into practice through programs that build healthy spirit,
mind, and body for all"; and
WHEREAS, The center brings people together and works to
nurture potential by promoting youth development, fitness, and
social responsibility; with a local presence and global reach, it
aims to mobilize citizens to effect lasting, meaningful change; and
WHEREAS, The programs of the Lake Highlands Family YMCA have
made a positive difference in many lives, and it is indeed fitting
to recognize the organization's commitment to building a brighter
future for the people of North Dallas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby honor the Lake Highlands Family YMCA for its
contributions to Dallas residents and extend to its administration
and staff sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
