H.R. No. 953 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this significant honor by Cayman Friedrich Ward of Georgetown also heralds a future bright with opportunity and promise; and WHEREAS, A sophomore at Georgetown High School and a member of Crestview Baptist Church, this fine young Texan has mastered a number of important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned 33 merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has gained experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which involved the construction of information kiosks at Champions Park and Twin Lakes Park; and WHEREAS, Having contributed 431 volunteer hours to 47 service projects, Mr. Ward has served his peers as a leader, and in so doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; and WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Cayman Ward has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the organization and its ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Cayman Friedrich Ward on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Ward as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
