H.R. No. 980
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Prithvi and Kanta Seth
of Houston celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
December 5, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Prithvi Seth and the former Kanta Bahri were joined
in matrimony in 1962 at a ceremony held in Hissar, India; through
the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that
includes three children, Sandeep, Vineet, and Anita, as well as
five grandchildren, Hasanthi, Anthony, Shaun, Vikram, and
Angelina; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Seth was a registered professional engineer in
11 states and worked for the Punjab Irrigation Department before
embarking on a career as a structural engineer for KBR and Mustang
Engineering, and Mrs. Seth is a retired Montessori teacher; in
addition to meeting their career and family responsibilities, the
couple have volunteered their time with the Brahma Kumaris World
Spiritual University, the Hindu Worship Society, and the
Vivekananda Vedanta Society; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Seth have enjoyed five decades of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Prithvi and Kanta Seth on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Seth as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
