9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 303, Local Government | |
11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 303.007 to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | Sec. 303.007. NATURAL GAS AS PUBLIC FACILITY. Natural gas | |
13 | 13 | purchased by a corporation for resale to a local government under an | |
14 | 14 | interlocal cooperation contract described by Section 791.025, | |
15 | 15 | Government Code, between the sponsor and the local government is | |
16 | 16 | considered a public facility for the purposes of this chapter. | |
17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
18 | 18 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
19 | 19 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
20 | 20 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
21 | 21 | Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
