| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2054.506, Government Code, is amended to | |
| 11 | 11 | read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 2054.506. EXPIRATION OF SUBCHAPTER. This subchapter | |
| 13 | 13 | expires and the council is abolished September 1, 2015 [2013]. | |
| 14 | 14 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 15 | 15 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 16 | 16 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 17 | 17 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 18 | 18 | Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the | |
| 19 | 19 | legislative session. |
