| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 152.0751, Human Resources Code, is | |
| 10 | 10 | amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (d) The juvenile board of Edwards County and the juvenile | |
| 12 | 12 | boards of one or more counties that are adjacent to or in close | |
| 13 | 13 | proximity to Edwards County may agree to operate together. | |
| 14 | 14 | Juvenile boards operating together may appoint one fiscal officer | |
| 15 | 15 | to receive and disburse funds for the boards. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 17 | 17 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 18 | 18 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 19 | 19 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 20 | 20 | Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
