| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter K, Chapter 16, Water Code, is amended | |
| 13 | 13 | by adding Section 16.405 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 16.405. WATER USE EVALUATION BY ELECTRIC GENERATING | |
| 15 | 15 | FACILITIES. (a) On or before May 15 of each year, an owner or | |
| 16 | 16 | operator of an electric generating facility shall submit a report | |
| 17 | 17 | to the commission and the board that evaluates the water needs of | |
| 18 | 18 | the facility, including water source, consumptive water use, | |
| 19 | 19 | nonconsumptive water use, and water reuse of the facility during | |
| 20 | 20 | the preceding year. | |
| 21 | 21 | (b) This section expires September 1, 2018. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
