The bill would modify Human Resources Code 42.041(b) to allow emergency shelters meeting certain criteria to serve unaccompanied minors and to do so without being licensed by the Department of Family and Protective Services. It is assumed any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and can be absorbed within available resources.
