The bill would amend the Human Resources Code as it relates to training for certain employees of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). The bill would apply only to a person who is newly hired or promoted to a management position in the child protective services division of DFPS on or after the effective date of the bill. It is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be handled with existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
