| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subsections (a), (b), (c), and (d), Section | |
| 12 | 12 | 771.0725, Health and Safety Code, are repealed. | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 14 | 14 | to the rate for the equalization surcharge established under | |
| 15 | 15 | Section 771.0725, Health and Safety Code, as amended by this Act, on | |
| 16 | 16 | or after the effective date of this Act. A rate imposed before that | |
| 17 | 17 | date is governed by the law in effect on the date the rate was | |
| 18 | 18 | imposed, and that law is continued in effect for that purpose. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
