SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1001
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Lieutenant Dennis W. Walker for his noteworthy service
with the Jacinto City Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Walker is a member of a family of law
enforcement officers and has served with the Jacinto City Police
Department since 2001; he joined the department as a patrol
officer and served as a detective and detective sergeant prior to
his promotion to lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, He has played a vital role in resolving numerous
high-profile cases, and his professionalism and dedication to
service have been instrumental in making the community a safer
place; and
WHEREAS, The courage and personal sacrifice of this
outstanding police officer in the line of duty exemplify the best
qualities of those who serve in law enforcement and stand as a
testament to his commitment to upholding the laws of a fair and
effective justice system; and
WHEREAS, An exceptional police officer, he is respected
and admired by colleagues and citizens alike, and he is truly
deserving of recognition for his many contributions to his
profession and his community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby commend Lieutenant Dennis W. Walker on his
valor and dedication on behalf of the people of Jacinto City and
extend to him best wishes for continued success in all his
endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
