SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1023 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Aaron M. Garcia of Boy Scout Troop 157 in Corpus Christi for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, This fine young man joined the elite corps of Eagles recently and was presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of Honor; and WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only five out of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program attain the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and promise, Aaron advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, This personable young man displayed leadership through planning, developing, and conducting a community service project that involved building a wooden privacy fence and weatherproofing the gazebo at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, A senior at John Paul II High School, Aaron is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts, and by becoming an Eagle Scout, he has brought great honor to himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby commend Aaron M. Garcia on receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his outstanding achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for Eagle Scout Garcia as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
