SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1053
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Becky Groneman on the occasion of her retirement as
Oldham County Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Becky joined the county clerk's office in January
of 1985, and she served as deputy for more than 10 years; in 1995,
upon the retirement of the previous clerk, she was appointed to
fill the unexpired term, and she has since then served in the
position of Oldham County Clerk, a role that also encompasses the
office and duties of district clerk; and
WHEREAS, For more than 28 years, Becky has shown
exceptional professionalism and commitment; her organizational
skills and her ability to communicate with her employees and with
members of the county and commissioners courts have made her a
much-respected leader; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Becky has been an exemplary role
model in Oldham County, as both a community volunteer and as a
public servant; she is admired by her colleagues and by the
citizenry she has served, and her presence in county government
will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby commend Becky Groneman on her many years of
dedication as the Oldham County Clerk and extend to her sincere
best wishes for her retirement years; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
