SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1071
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the members
of the Brownsville High School Class of 1963 in paying tribute to
the memory of their departed classmates on the occasion of their
50th class reunion; and
WHEREAS, While a class reunion is an occasion to reminisce
about shared memories and traditions, it is also a time to
remember and honor those classmates who have passed away; and
WHEREAS, Their absence is all the more poignant at a high
school reunion because their memory is forever linked to the days
of youth and vitality before the passage of time has taken its
inevitable toll; and
WHEREAS, The fondly recalled members of the Brownsville
High School Class of 1963 who are no longer with us are Esequiel
Aguilar, Estela Alvear, Joe Arroyo, Albert Angel Avalos, Alma
Balli, Daniel Bannert, Antonia Barbosa, Gustavo Barreda,
Evangelina Bazan, James Boudreaux, Nem Jennings Bryan III, Mary
Alice Buitureira, Abelardo Campirano, Cesar Castaneda, Lee Allen
Clark, Kent Copenhaven, Robert Curry, Don Ray Davidson, Rene Del
Pino, Owen Eichblatt, Angelita Farias, Joe Galvan, Amanda
Garcia, Angelita Garcia, Elida Garcia, Tana Garcia, Esperanza
Garza, Severa Garza, Silverio Garza, Emilio "Red" Gomez, Ruben
Guerrero, James Hall, Leanne Hemphill, Juan Hernandez, Carlos

WHEREAS, Their loss is keenly felt by those with whom they
shared the carefree days of high school, and the remembrance of
their lives offers their fellow class members a valuable reminder
to live each day to the fullest; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of the departed
members of the Brownsville High School Class of 1963; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
their honor.
