                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1082
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Russell Ramsland for his work as a champion for
 grassroots initiatives in the North Dallas area; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Ramsland is an oil and gas entrepreneur and a
 former member of the presidential administration of Ronald
 Reagan; he also works as a business consultant to help businesses
 achieve national and global success; and
 WHEREAS, His interest in state and national government has
 led him to assume leadership positions in the Park Cities-Preston
 Hollow Tea Party and the Park Cities-Preston Hollow Leadership
 Forum; and
 WHEREAS, He has worked tirelessly to promote communication
 and education about candidates and issues, and he encourages all
 citizens to participate in every opportunity to vote; and
 WHEREAS, He has worked with members of the legislature on a
 variety of issues, notably the application of utility company
 smart meters; he is truly deserving of recognition for his
 community leadership and his contributions to the political
 process; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
 Legislature, hereby commend Russell Ramsland on his outstanding
 efforts to inform citizens and legislators alike about issues and
 causes that affect this state and extend to him best wishes for
 continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
