SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1083 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Ken Emanuelson for his political engagement and his tireless efforts as a champion of grassroots initiatives in Dallas County; and WHEREAS, Mr. Emanuelson is an attorney and holds a degree in intellectual property law from The University of Texas and a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arkansas; and WHEREAS, As a student of the law, he has also developed an interest in government and politics; after the 2006 elections, he founded the Dallas Tea Party and established a network of communication for like-minded activists to share information and engage their own communities in the political process, with the goal of increasing participation in elections; and WHEREAS, He has been innovative in bringing new technology to the hands of volunteers to engage potential voters; and WHEREAS, He has also led by example in communicating with elected officials, raising awareness about conservative issues by providing information and resources, and offering testimony before legislative committees; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby commend Ken Emanuelson for his ongoing efforts to promote participation in the political process and to inform and engage the citizens of Dallas County and extend to him sincere best wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
