SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 207 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Deborah Shaw-Boatner, who is retiring from the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts on February 28, 2013, after more than 37 years of outstanding service to the state; and WHEREAS, Deborah began her career in state service in 1972 as an administrative clerk with the Texas State University Center for Public School Ethnic Studies; through the years, she has served with a number of state agencies, including director-level positions at the General Land Office and the Texas Rehabilitation Commission; and WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Deborah has been noted for her superior organizational skills and her auditing and accounting expertise; her flexibility and her determination to complete the job before her have allowed her to be successful in multiple roles and on multiple projects; and WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she has handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication, and her compassion and care for her fellow workers have brightened their days immeasurably; and WHEREAS, Deborah Shaw-Boatner is an exemplary public servant who is respected and admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby commend Deborah Shaw-Boatner on her exceptional service to the people of Texas and extend to her best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
