SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 505
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dr. Gogi Dickson, who has been selected for induction
into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding
work in the field of education; and
WHEREAS, The San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame honors those
women who have contributed significantly to the San Antonio
community and the Bexar County region through their
accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Dickson's career has spanned more than 30
years and has included extensive experience as an entrepreneur, a
consultant, a campus teacher, principal, and superintendent, and
a university professor; and
WHEREAS, She has mentored women throughout her life and is
chair of the San Antonio Mayor's Commission for Children and
Families; she is currently adjunct professor in the Department of
Education at The University of Texas at San Antonio and is
president of Dickson Consulting Group; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Dickson is highly respected for her
dedication to her work and for her outstanding accomplishments in
her many capacities as an educator, and she is an inspiration to
women across our state; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
83rd Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Gogi Dickson for her
exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on
her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
