SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 726
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Victor and Modene
Marek of Bartlett celebrated this joyous milestone in their
marriage on April 6, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Marek were joined in matrimony in 1963
in Sinton; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured
family that includes four children, Vic Marek and his wife, Nita,
Darrell Marek and his wife, April, Dale Marek and his wife, Jessica,
and Jessica Marek, as well as eight grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and
Mrs. Marek own and operate a landscaping business that serves all
of Williamson County; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Marek have enjoyed half a century of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
83rd Legislature, hereby congratulate Victor and Modene Marek on
their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Marek as an expression of high regard by
the Texas Senate.
