                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 727
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize March of 2013 as National Athletic Training Month; and
 WHEREAS, The athletic trainers of the Rio Grande Valley
 have for many years provided quality health care for athletes and
 for those simply wishing to improve their fitness and well-being;
 these dedicated health professionals work with their clients to
 help prevent injuries, assist in rehabilitation, and improve
 their overall health; and
 WHEREAS, The National Athletic Trainers' Association
 represents and supports some 35,000 members of the profession,
 whose work benefits individuals from all walks of life, from
 professional and collegiate athletes to patients in clinics and
 hospitals to employees in corporate and industrial settings; and
 WHEREAS, It is truly fitting that a month be set aside to
 raise public awareness about the exemplary work done by athletic
 trainers and the importance of the education, care, and guidance
 they can provide; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
 Legislature, hereby commend athletic trainers for their
 dedication and expertise and urge all Texans to join them in
 observing March of 2013 as National Athletic Training Month; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
 honor of this special occasion.
