SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 774 In Memory of James Dominguez WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of United States Border Patrol Agent James Dominguez, who died in the line of duty on July 19, 2012; and WHEREAS, James Dominguez was an exceptional citizen who was greatly admired in his community and by his fellow Border Patrol agents; and WHEREAS, He was a man of exceptional bravery whose strong sense of responsibility was reflected in his deep commitment to the welfare of others; he had followed in the footsteps of his father by becoming a Border Patrol agent; and WHEREAS, The courage and personal sacrifice of this exemplary agent in the line of duty will serve as a constant reminder of his deep devotion to upholding a fair and effective justice system; and WHEREAS, A graduate of Brigham Young University, Mr. Dominguez was a leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a member of the high council at his congregation on the west side of San Antonio; and WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave generously to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to share in his life; and WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of James Dominguez; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James Dominguez.
