SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 798
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Aurora Angela Garza, who retired May 31, 2010, after
nearly 30 years of outstanding service with the Texas Department
of Public Safety; and
WHEREAS, Angie Garza began her career in state service in
October of 1980 after having worked at several banks in the Rio
Grande Valley; she retired as an administrative technician II in
the Driver License Division of the Texas Department of Public
Safety; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she was noted for her
skills and expertise; talented and resourceful, she handled her
many responsibilities with efficiency and dedication; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and
admired by her former colleagues, and her presence at the Texas
Department of Public Safety has been greatly missed; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby commend Aurora Angela Garza on her
exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of the
Texas Department of Public Safety and extend to her best wishes
for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
