SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 808
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Larry A. Schilhabel, who is retiring from the Office of
the Comptroller of Public Accounts on May 31, 2013, after 24
years of outstanding service to the state; and
WHEREAS, Larry Schilhabel began his career in state
service in 1986 with the State Treasury Department; he joined the
comptroller's office in 1999; and
WHEREAS, A United States Navy veteran, he has throughout
his career been noted for his superior skills and expertise;
talented and resourceful, he has handled his many
responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and
admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the
Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
83rd Legislature, hereby commend Larry A. Schilhabel on his
outstanding service to the people of Texas as an employee of the
Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to him
best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
