SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 813 In Memory of Monty Graham Goff WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Monty Graham Goff, who died on November 2, 2011, at the age of 62; and WHEREAS, Born July 10, 1949, to Percy Martin Goff and Frieda Barlemann Graham Goff, Monty was an individual to whom others naturally gravitated; his many friends, colleagues, and family members recall that he never met a person he could not befriend, a fish he could not catch, a task he could not manage, or a song to which he could not dance; he was one who filled his life with purpose and with passion; and WHEREAS, In professional circles, Monty was much revered as the accomplished director of planning and business services at Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association; he also worked as a planner with the City of Austin and he played a vital role in the development of the Austin Convention Center; and WHEREAS, A devoted father and husband, he deeply enjoyed spending time with his family; he also dedicated himself to working with the Anderson Community Development Corporation and served as a mentor to others; and WHEREAS, This generous and inspiring Texan left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who loved him; he will long be remembered with affection and admiration by those who were privileged to share in his life, and his memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Vicki, his daughter, Kate, his sister, Marty, and his other beloved relatives and friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Monty Graham Goff; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Monty Goff.
