SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 903
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
honor Arthur Murillo, who won first place in the Texas State
Roadeo on April 14, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Texas State Roadeo is an exciting and
much-anticipated event that highlights the skills of bus drivers
and bus mechanics and promotes safety and professionalism in
transit operations; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Murillo was among some of the state's top
drivers and mechanics competing for the roadeo's highest honors;
winners advance to national and international competition, and
Mr. Murillo has previously won the International Bus Roadeo four
times; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Murillo is a bus operator for McDonald Transit
and was one of several drivers and mechanics representing
Austin's Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority at the
state competition; he captured first place for his outstanding
abilities in operating a 35-foot bus, and as both a civil servant
and a master competitor, he is indeed deserving of praise on this
special occasion; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
83rd Legislature, hereby commend Arthur Murillo on his skill and
professionalism as a bus operator and extend to him
congratulations on winning the Texas State Roadeo; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Arthur Murillo as an expression of high regard from the Texas
Senate.
