 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Brynn Alyn Brown graduated as the valedictorian of
 the senior class of White Deer High School on May 31, 2013; and
 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
 highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction,
 Ms. Brown demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of
 subjects, and she earned membership in the National Honor Society;
 and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Joe Don and Julie
 Brown, Ms. Brown further distinguished herself as a talented
 athlete, participating in cheerleading, basketball, cross-country,
 track, tennis, and golf; she was also involved with Family, Career
 and Community Leaders of America and Buck Pride, and she was a
 member of the band and the student council; moreover, she was the
 2012 Homecoming Queen and served as class president for three
 years; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Brown volunteered her time to benefit the First
 Baptist Church of Skellytown as well as the local library and food
 pantry while in high school; she now plans to study psychology at
 West Texas A&M University; and
 WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Brynn Brown earned
 the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates at White
 Deer High, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and
 commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
 opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Brynn Alyn
 Brown, valedictorian of the White Deer High School Class of 2013,
 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
 begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
