H.R. No. 173
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kyle Weiss of Panhandle High School took part in the
2013 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet in
the 1A Division 1 boys' shot put event, and he merits special
recognition for his skill and achievements; and
WHEREAS, Joining the top competitors in Texas at Mike
A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10, Mr. Weiss turned in a notable
performance; he recorded a distance of 52 feet, 7.75 inches, to earn
fourth place and came very close to claiming a spot on the podium;
and
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
high school track and field athletes, Kyle Weiss has ably
represented his school, and he may cherish his memories of this
notable accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Kyle Weiss on
his fourth-place finish in the 1A Division 1 boys' shot put at the
UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Weiss as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
