H.R. No. 182
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. Anthony John Sherwood Corbet is retiring from
the Pediatrix Medical Group of San Antonio at the end of June 2013,
concluding an outstanding career that has spanned 45 years in
neonatology; and
WHEREAS, Born in Australia, Tony Corbet was raised in Perth
and graduated from the University of Adelaide School of Medicine in
1963; he completed fellowships in neonatal medicine in Sydney,
Australia, and Montreal, Canada, before joining the staff of Baylor
College of Medicine in Houston; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed physician subsequently worked at
Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, and for the past 19
years, he has been a partner in the Pediatrix Medical Group; his
dedication, knowledge, and experience have earned him the deep
admiration of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of more than four decades, Dr. Tony
Corbet has greatly distinguished himself in his profession, and as
he prepares to embark on the next exciting chapter of his life, he
may indeed reflect with pride on his many accomplishments; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Dr. Anthony
John Sherwood Corbet on his retirement from the Pediatrix Medical
Group of San Antonio and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Corbet as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
