H.R. No. 194
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Elisa and Raul E. Moreno of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2013, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Raul Moreno and the former Elisa Acevedo exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Earth, Texas, in 1963, and over the course
of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life
partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moreno count among their blessings a
fine family that includes two children, Raul Moreno, Jr., and
Yevette Brooks, as well as four grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing many special
occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Elisa and Raul Moreno have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Elisa and Raul
Moreno on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further

ESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Moreno as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
