R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six
decades, Joe and Wanda McMinn of Lubbock celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary on June 14, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Joe McMinn and the former Wanda Roberts exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Lubbock on that memorable day in 1953, and
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a
devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McMinn count among their blessings a
fine family that includes three children and their spouses, Mitzi
and Bruce Flournoy, Susan and Steve Seefeldt, and Sherrie and Ron
Miller, as well as nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past six decades, Joe and
Wanda McMinn can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Joe and Wanda
McMinn on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McMinn as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
