 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Kelli Mann has graduated as valedictorian of the
 Class of 2013 at Charlotte High School, and for achieving this
 significant honor, she indeed merits special recognition; and
 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
 highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction,
 Ms. Mann demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of
 subjects, and her stellar grades earned her induction into the
 National Honor Society; and
 WHEREAS, In addition to attending to her class work, Ms. Mann
 helped organize school blood drives and participated in such other
 campus projects as a student council toy drive and school
 beautification initiatives; moreover, she volunteered as a
 counselor at a camp for individuals with special needs and took part
 in mission trips and disaster-relief efforts as a member of the
 youth group at Charlotte First Baptist Church; in the fall of 2013,
 she will begin her college studies at the University of Mary
 Hardin-Baylor, and she plans to ultimately embark on a career as a
 registered nurse; and
 WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Kelli Mann has
 earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates,
 and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment
 to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for
 this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Kelli Mann,
 valedictorian of the Charlotte High School Class of 2013, and
 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
 begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Mann as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
