H.R. No. 221
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Samantha Mikolajczyk graduated as valedictorian of
the senior class of Poteet High School on May 31, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction,
Ms. Mikolajczyk demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide
range of subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has
devoted to her studies are myriad; and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Mikolajczyk has
generously volunteered her time to many worthwhile organizations
and events, including the National Honor Society Blood Drive, and
she has helped prepare care packages for soldiers; she plans to
continue her education at Texas A&M University with the goal of
becoming a civil engineer; and
WHEREAS, Samantha Mikolajczyk has earned the respect and
admiration of her teachers and classmates at Poteet High, and her
exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to
excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for this
remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Samantha
Mikolajczyk, valedictorian of the Poteet High School Class of 2013,
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Mikolajczyk as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
