H.R. No. 33
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Timothy Anderson of Kirbyville has been named a
special honoree in the 2013 HoustonPBS Kids Go! Writing Contest;
and
WHEREAS, This annual competition encourages local
schoolchildren to submit creative, illustrated works of fiction;
the HoustonPBS station received hundreds of entries from
kindergarteners and first-, second-, and third-grade authors and
artists, and the winning stories are featured on the station's
website; and
WHEREAS, Timothy Anderson is a third-grader at Kirbyville
Elementary School; his exceptional work earned him recognition from
the contest judges for the second consecutive year, and he was one
of only two students who was a repeat honoree; and
WHEREAS, This unique competition inspires creativity among
Texas youngsters, and Timothy may indeed take great pride in
placing among the contest's top entrants; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Timothy
Anderson on his selection as a special honoree in the 2013
HoustonPBS Kids Go! Writing Contest and extend to him sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
R
ESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Anderson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
