 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Since 2007, the Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce has
 promoted a close working relationship between businesses in the
 Lone Star State and in Israel; and
 WHEREAS, The TICOC was established by the governor's office,
 the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce, and business leaders in
 every major city in Texas; a private, nonprofit business
 organization, its mission is to foster the development of economic
 linkages between Texas and Israel; and
 WHEREAS, Over the years, trade between Texas and Israel has
 become increasingly important, with Texas exports to Israel growing
 by more than 20 percent between 2011 and 2012; the Texas-Israel
 chamber works to expand market opportunities through a wide range
 of programs and activities, including its Bridge Building
 Networking Event, which draws nearly 1,000 business leaders and
 decision makers each year, and its Cleanovation expo, which
 highlights emerging technology in water, sustainable energy, and
 the automotive field; and
 WHEREAS, Strong commercial relationships between Texas and
 Israel result in more robust economies and lead to greater
 cross-cultural understanding, and the Texas-Israel Chamber of
 Commerce plays a vital role in encouraging and supporting these
 mutually beneficial connections; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor the Texas-Israel
 Chamber of Commerce for its outstanding contributions and extend to
 the organization sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
